A Bento Buck is an animal in Survival 303.
Appearance
The Bento Buck has a brown hide and 4 long legs. Looks similar to the bento deer, but can be distinguished by its tan horn.
Habitat and Population
Bento Bucks inhabit Bento Island on the old map where there is about 3 of each. On the new map they are at Basin Isle with 2 bucks and 3 deer and Stonewall Island with 2 deer and 1 buck
Behavior
They roam the plains occasionally getting stuck in nooks on the island, stopping to munch on grass sometimes. When attacked, they return the attack with their long horn in defense, unlike their female counterparts who run. Bucks don't do nearly as much damage as the rockma and teraphyx.
Hunting Strategies
Bento Bucks aren't as easy to hunt as deer, as when they are hit with a weapon, they turn towards you and start doing damage.
As for all creatures with bare backs, saddling is a good method to easily kill it. After positioning the seat towards its head, sit and you may attack. This way you take as little damage as possible while having a good shot at the head. Or, simply standing upon the buck and attacking the head works, though you may get thrown off.
High-damage weapons, like iron or steel swords, are effective against them.
Drops
Bento Bucks drop a bento hide. This can be turned into bento leather by processing it and waiting. (Remember bucks don't drop meat!).
Now that you have leather, you can use it to make armour!
