To be more specific, SCP writing help. I need an original idea for a first try, and I am looking to anyone who is willing to help.
First of all, give me an idea. An idea for an anomalous object or entity. There are a few things I do not want you to come up with:
- Things that kill people for no reason.
- Things that make other things.
- Things that move when you dun look at them.
- Things that are so nice and good and everybody loves them and are fighting against evil.
- Windows to another world. We have, like, 4, and they are all amazing. We do not need mediocre remakes.
- Things that we feed people to and groom their hair and read them lullabies at night. The foundation is cold, but not cruel.
- CREEPY DOLLS.
- Things that make things into other things.
- And finally, generic "omg magic thang" objects.
Give me an idea, and also how it can be contained and kept from hurting people or getting attention.
Finally, put it in one of three classes: Safe, Euclid, or Keter.
- Safe objects can be reliably contained with procedures that will probably not fail. Safe DOES NOT MEAN HARMLESS. It means we can lock it in a room, feed it once a week, and not worry about it. An example of a safe object is a nuclear weapon or a knife that can cut through anything.
- Euclid objects are objects that require specific procedures to contain, but are otherwise not bad. An example of a Euclid object is a thing that will kill people if it is looked at, a building that has infinite rooms, or an invulnerable, unreachable, but otherwise unremarkable bird.
- Keter objects are objects that require extensive care and can cause major damage to civilization or the facility holding it if not monitored. Or, Keter objects can just be stupidly hard to contain. An example of Keter objects are cakes that can infinitely multiply if not eaten, giant hearts with whip-like tentacles that speak in gothic phrases, or just the old-fashioned HOLY CRAP TAHT THIGN IS GAINT AHHH monster.
