Woodchips are a fertilizer in Survival 303.

Overview

Woodchips are vital for any good farmer. Woodchips are used as a fertilizer for composts, significantly reducing the time needed for growth of most crops and increasing the quantity of crop produced. This can be especially useful for tree farms, or if you live on an island with little to no food, like Spire island or Goldrock island. Note that, while it takes a much shorter time to grow the crops, you will need a higher farming level for the fertilized compost. As a comparison, it takes only level 2 farming to plant apples in normal compost, but level 5 farming to plant apples in fertilized compost. When the compost is fertilized, it also increases your farming level about half of what it normally would. Because of this, it is best to use woodchips after your farming skill is at a satisfactory level first.
